Description
Flourish Iron™ consists of highly concentrated iron gluconate (10,000 mg/L) and is an excellent supplement for planted aquariums. Plants can absorb iron gluconate better than chelated iron EDTA, for instance, because it is already present in its ferrous form and plants do not have to spend any energy on reducing it. This source of iron is especially beneficial for aquatic plants which absorb nutrients solely through their leaves.
Recommended use:
Use 5 ml (= 1 capful) of Flourish Iron™ per 200 litres of water. The target value of iron = 0.10 mg/L.
