Description
In the emersed stage, Lobelia cardinalis has dark olive-green leaves with a scarlet-red lower side. In the submerged stage, however, the leaves are light green and smaller. It grows quite slowly and reaches a maximum height of 20 cm. It is very often used for the "Holland aquarium" planting style. In this style, plants are planted and cultivated close together in large groups to create the look of a botanical garden.
