Description
To ensure your fish and plants make it safely through the winter months, low temperatures, and frozen surface water, we recommend using the Pontec PondoPolar. This polystyrene ice preventer ensures that your pond does not freeze over completely, allowing sufficient oxygen to reach the water. Its integrated ventilation slots also facilitate the vital gas exchange between the pond water and the outside air.
This practical frost-protection device floats on the surface but can be weighted down with sand, for example, to ensure it stays in place during high winds and storms.
Top Tip: The Pontec PondoPolar is effective at temperatures down to –10 °C.
